| Sojourner Life Ministries |
- We believe God is the Sovereign Creator of the universe, according to Genesis
1:1. - We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God given to mankind for
instruction in righteousness and holiness, according to IITimothy 3:16 & 17.
- We believe Jesus is the Christ sent by God the Father, that whosoever believes
in Him shall not perish but be saved to everlasting life according to John 3:16.
- We believe the Holy Spirit is the Power of God given to mankind to make us
and enable us to witness and accomplish the work we are called to do according
to Acts 1:8.
- We believe that holiness is the lifestyle God has commanded us to live so that
we might see Him in His kingdom according to Hebrews 12:14; I Peter 1:15 7 16.
This banner hangs on the wall of our church sanctuary. The scripture
it so boldly proclaims is the foundation principle for this ministry. We
are all "sojourners" and just here on earth for a brief temporary visit.
As eternal beings were are going to spend eternity somewhere. Will
it be heaven or hell?
Through Bible teaching, preaching and fellowship , we discuss how
to live a life that transcends time and fully glorifies God and the plan
He has for mankind. God's plan for all mankind is holiness and for us
to spend eternity with Him. This means living as He has directed us by
His Word, in the footsteps of Jesus, our Lord and Saviour, for he is the
perfect example. He is the Way, Truth and Life, no one can come to
the Father/God but by Him.
In Jesus we can find the strength for our journey to live day to day;
just one day at a time. Living one day at a time will enable us to
reduce self inflicted stress, distress, and confusion. So often we want
it all up front and then an easy journey the remainder of the way. The
probability of that happening is close to impossible. Life's journey
takes many turns and has ups as well as downs, but in Jesus we can
be safe. God has given Him to us so that we may have everlasting
life, by believing in Him and the perfect sacrifice He made for us by
shedding His blood on the rugged cross.
Yes, life can be scary and quite challenging but Jesus has promised
us that He will never leave us or forsake us, He will be with us
always. There is no one who is too bad or who is too good to stay
outside the realm of faith in Christ Jesus. He is Lord and one day we
will all come to that knowledge. Ours is to help you while it is yet day
and you are able to make the decision on your own, while yet here
on this journey. Choose Jesus and live.
